Why these haven't been the lines fo the last two games is beyond me, hyman works so much better with Matthews and marner than Thornton and that second line has looked great, Thornton as 3C seems like the perfect spot, kerfoot is better on the wing than at c, just feels so obvious up front, on D I'd like to see lehtonen get a chance over Bogo and Sandin over holl but without changing the roster this seems like an easy lineup

Marner has completely changed his game from last year. Total 180. No effort and no passing. It’s a short season and you need to act fast.

I think marner Tavares definitely worked but Matthews and Nylander didn't work nearly as well at Nylander Tavares, I think if you go back to the top line from last year and keep vesey with JT and Nylander, they will all start clicking again and there will be two elite lines followed by Kerfoot, Thornton and mikheyev as a great 3rd line

Much better pass/shot balance for Marner tonight. Bad news is that this will prolong this line. Matthews still has zero 5v5 goals. Too much time in the corners digging up pucks. Our $12m grinder.

Hyman matthews nylander (or Marner if he wants to pass) puts this game way out of reach.

Best leaf tonight... Robertson, too bad about the injury.

Worked just as well as. Again fact check. Tavares and marner had career years. Nylander had a bad hold out season and Matthews had some injuries. But everyone produced and leafs won more games... which is the whole point isn’t it?
