The leafs play the third line 10-12 minutes a night. Marner needs to be in the top 6 IMO.

I like the idea, Marner didn’t look good at all last night i think him and Robertson would compliment each other nicely. I also think Matthews can carry a line on his own, Mikheyev and Hyman have enough skill to make a play when they need to and can also do the dirty work and get him the puck. My only concerns here would be the 4th line and i’d like to see Lehtonen get a chance tonight.

It's entirely up to the coach how much each line plays. He can play the third line as much as he wants.

I'm not a fan of the 4th line either, but they play like 5 minutes a night. I'd like to see Lehtonen as well, but they can only sub in one guy at the moment.

It's not confirmed, but David Alter tweeted that he's on the active roster. Apparently they did this with Lehtonen on their off day to give him a day of NHL pay, but for that to be the case with Robertson he'd have to remain on the roster until 5:00pm, which is the deadline for movement from the taxi squad to the lineup and vice versa, so people are making inferences.

I agree. I think Simmer has been solid too and would like to see him get a chance with JT and Willy.

Marner needs a game or two to be put in his place a bit. Plus as you said I think that line could be very complimentary, and Matthews doesn't need skill players, just selfless hard workers would be perfect.

It would be awesome if Simmonds could rediscover his former self a little bit.
