I like the idea of having both Tkachuks on a line, that would be lethal. But easier said than done.

I know it’s one game but Tanev looked great. Gio was just there. Give away Gio. The Tanev-Hanifin pair played 17 minutes 5-on-5 and played 13 of those minutes against the most lethal top 6 in the NHL. They started every one of those shifts in the defensive zone as well and they still managed to directly generate a Lindholm goal. That’s impressive

A fringe 1C for a solid 1C but not an elite 1C. He has room to grow but for now, Dubois for Monahan is as close to lateral as Columbus will get. Dubois will likely be better by a wider margin in a year or two but the first rounder will be ready by then

Monahan for Dubois is definitely Turris for Duchene all over again

Dubois will never be top 10. Let’s stop overreacting these guys. It happens all the time

Lol not overreacting at all he has very good offensive impact and a pretty high celling, but as long as you think monahan and a 1st =Dubois you can’t tell anyone they are overreacting

I meant overrating. Autocorrect. I’ve seen Columbus fans literally suggest this trade with a Calgary 3rd. Varying opinions on it. Some people are like you, some people thinks it overpay and some people think it’s fair like me. When it’s a pretty even split on opinions, its usually a fair trade

What would you realistically want for Gaudreau from the Ducks that could benefit both teams?

What about a Rakell for Gaudreau swap? Both seem to need a new environment. Could equal out picks too.
