I’d take Svech and hope, guys like Stecher are a dime a dozen.

I didn't think they could expose Svechnikov if he didn't play a certain number of games for the Wings, but I'm sure how all the rules work. I figure they'll expose Nielsen and Erne as the required 2 exposed forwards.

Anyone who has completed 3 seasons as a pro is eligible to be selected. Teams have to expose a certain amount of players at each position that meet minimum requirements, if Svech does not hit that game total he would not count towards their required exposures but he can still be selected.

Anyone that is not protected or exempt is exposed and can be selected. Not everyone exposed will meet the minimum requirements. The team just has to provide X amount of players on their exposed list that do. It’s not difficult it’s 2 forwards, 1 d man, 1 goalie that have to meet the minimum. So a team might expose 20 players total but only need to have 4 total meet the minimum requirements.

No need to protect Glendening, there's a loophole since he's a UFA... just work out a handshake deal to re-sign after the expansion draft. Use that protection on Givani Smith.

I agree protect Smith in the few games he played last season he looked better than Erne. You also have to ask are the Wing's going to resign Glendening?

He has a lot of positives, his faceoff win %, plays on the pk, he hits, blocks shots, he's right handed, he's a Michigander...

If they don't want to bring him back they could probably move him for something at the TDL. I think he could fetch something in the ballpark of what SJ got for Barclay Goodrow (swap picks to move up a couple rounds).
