Make Marner earn his time. Looks too complacent. Plus this spread out depth looks nasty. You want a defensive line? Matthews line can shutdown and light up. You want some hits from the top 6? Have the train come through and make some space for Willy and JT. You want production from a third line? Goal scorer + responsible, forechecking center + playmaker. Ew

this isn't about points. Matthews has had many chances and bounces that haven't gone his way. He's looked good. Marner just watches him forecheck and does nothing. He also has been trying to shoot more which is fine, but has literally been looking off a wide open Matthews to shoot it himself (with terrible shots). Matthews is doing all the little things right and hasn't been rewarded yet. Marner hasn't been doing the little things.

Maybe watch comments by Craig Button on TSN after the loss to Ottawa the other night. Not sure Matthews is "doing all the little things right".

I didn't say he sucks I said he needed something to change for a rejuvenation because he looked really off. Had a great game tonight, had a big statement game. Earned his place rather than expecting it like the past couple of games.
