Tatar, Armia and Danault say no thank you and walk into free agency. At least 1M short each for the dirst 2. Danault will get a similar deal on a team with less center depth.

Also you have Romanov, Suzuki and Evans rises to pay next year with 900k space and 2.5M economy from Chiarot leaving. Not even close to be enough. Even if Seattle take big Ed.

For a big 7yrs at 5M$ per, I believe Danault heavily considers this offer to stay a Canadiens, even to eventually play 3C.

I was just looking at the cap for next season. If you keep Danault and Tuna, it will be super tight for the rest. Don't get me wrong I really like both. Also does Dubois replace Danault? never know! Habs finally have a good team for first time in fifteen years, a team with depth and salary cap is going to mess things up! ugh!

You know there is such as thing assets management. Letting Danault, Tatar and Armia walk for nothing is plain dumb...

Yeah very happy about the team we have this year. I think we could trade one of Tatar, Danault or Drouin to sign Suzuki and Romanov. And there is the Seattle expansion.
Habs4ever liked this.

It's not dumb if you didnt trade them at TDL to keep your team competitive for a long playoff run.

You talk like if it wasn't their decision to leave for a bigger salary elsewhere. Teams lose players to free agency every years.

This is so basic. Stop playing monopoly and join us in reality. You can't just hoard players like if they were railroads...
