Eh I mean it's really cumulative quality that makes a team, less so specific positional quality, but

neutral

Seems fair to say C is the most important F position

The Rangers are not going to trade 5 players and a 1st round pick for PLD. No team will trade 5 players and a 1st for him.

If the Rangers offered Deangelo, Buchnevich, and a 1st round pick... I believe that would be the best trade offer the CBJ would receive on the open trade market.

Ah yes...a defenceman that can’t play defence, a pending UFA winger and what should be a late 1st...I can’t see why Columbus would decline 😂.

Can you imagine how quick DeAngelo would end up as a healthy scratch with Torts as his coach?

The winger is only 25, 6'3-200lbs, still improving, and is a RFA - not a UFA. Which makes Buchnevich very desirable to many GM's, considering how good of a player he's already progressed to become.

Deangelo was benched for slamming the penalty box door while hollering at the ref. Quinn was just making it clear to the young impressionable team that that type of behavior was unacceptable.

Deangelo is only 25, still improving, and is also a RFA (not UFA) when his current contract runs out after next season. He also put up 15G - 38A - for 53P in 68 Games last season. Which in all makes him very desirable to many GM's considering how good of a player he's already progressed to become.

Which team is going to make a better offer of players than Buchnevich, Deangelo, and a 1st round pick?

Columbus would decline, Reportedly Jarmo wants Kakko for PLD just like he wants Suzuki from the Habs for PLD or Zegras from Anaheim for PLD.

I believe Torts would love Deangelo! Though he'd still probably bench him from time to time, but not for too long of a benching. Deangelo has actually improved his defensive game every year in the league, it's just his starting point was way below league acceptability.

Also Deangelo is scrappy tough and doesn't get pushed around defensively. He challenges high skilled players to fight almost nightly and clearly won between a half dozen to a dozen fighting decisions last season vs only 2or3 draws.

Although I think it more than a fair offer for PLD, Columbus needs a centre back in a trade. Strome I would think would have to be included.

Buch, 1st and a bunch of meh for Dubois. Consider me surprised if CBJ takes it. They're not moving a young top6 C that easily.

I think it's Kakko or bust. No other trade makes sense, when you think about how CBJ is being built like.

Quality is still more important than quantity. Check the ROR trade if you disagree.

Oh for sure this will happen
Dubois loves rags
He sits on rags
He sleeps on rags
Dubois does everything on a rag, of course he will accept a trade to a rag
