Description

First and foremost fire Ross johnston into the sun.

Bellows has earned an extended look and I doubt trotz would put bellows and wahlstrom in the lineup at the same time, so czarnik is the best candidate for 3rw IMO - he skates well and he’s a decent playmaker.

I’ve said this a lot, but switching beau and lee would do wonders for this team. Fans would wonder why it wasn’t done sooner. Beau is emerging as a top line lw and him and barzal can be dynamic together.

I’m just trying to be somewhat realistic lol. I would put both of them in the lineup, but trotz won’t. Czarnik over komarov or johnston any day. He actually has skill.

At the absolute bare minimum they need beau on the same powerplay as barzal.. Barzal-Lee-Bailey-Pulock-Beau (beau and pulock on the circles lee net front and bailey/barzal circling) has to be the ideal PP1 but at this point we’ll never see anything besides PP1 being the top line plus offensive defenseman for god knows what reason

PP2 - Dobson -eberle-bellows-Nelson-pageau

I’m personally a huge fan of beau on the right circle on PP2 and would love to see barzal free space up for him and pulock to get looks with 2 guys who can clap it to keep em modest and then move into the slot for a one time slap pass

Probably Bailey just cause I’d want barzal to be able to circle down low.. ideally next season I’d want it to be beau running point (I’m higher on him than probably any islanders fan out there) with wahlstrom or bellows on the right circle but there’s little to no chance we ever get to see it

He has looked good so far - he’s drawn 2 penalties in 17 minutes of ice time. Solid in all 3 zones
