Florida laughs in your face.

Just the nerve on you to think that those nine “assets,” get the habs PLD and Barkov both retained. Crazy.

Florida should take that deal and run. Every one around the league know's that after the 2 years remain on is current deal he will it the market. That would be a very nice return for a player you will likely loose for absolutely nothing in 2 years.

People seem to forget on this site that there are other teams in the league that are allowed to offer trades. The market is open, it’s not like florida has to take whatever Montreal offers or *lose him for nothing.

On what planet is Danault or Kotkaniemi even close to Barkov's level? Noway should Florida accept that. other 29 NHL can offer Zito better then that.

no one have said that. but you have said that this return is complete trash when its absolutely not the case. Danault is a excellent players and Kotkaniemi i a 20 years old kid who have a great potential. on top of that you get a defenceman that would probably become Florida best defensive prospect.

Wayne Gretzky was traded, does Edmonton get a players on the same level. Team that traded the best players, historically, are not getting equal value back. that a facts ans you should try for once to defend your point with some verificable facts instead of saying thing eveyone know. No one is saying Danault or Kotkamiemi are Barkov.

Yes, in the context of this trade, it’s a trash return. Dozens of teams will beat it.

have you look at the comoparable players beiing traded in Barkov situation? Duchenes, Hall, Stone those where the last three big name and none of them have got any kind of return that this trade would offer Florida. Team wont gave up their entire line up to acquire a UFA player that will command a big raise. this is the reality of the NHL.

If you’re comparing those guys to barkov, i guess i see why you’re getting this so wrong.
1. Duchene. He wasn’t half the player, maybe not even a tenth of the player barkov is, and it was a three way trade. What did Colorado wind up with? The best chance at the draft lottery and freaking Girard+? Ya thats a lot better than this junk.
2. Hall. He was an expiring contract (not two years, he was a rental), isn’t nearly as good as barkov, plays wing, which is just inherently less valuable than a true number one center, really only had one premium season, and was off a major injury (the 200th of his career, the guys a bandaid). He got a first, a third, and three pretty freaking good prospects.
3. Stone was a deadline rental. Awesome player though. At least he’s in the category of barkov there.

Bro.... I posted this trade and even I wouldn't make this trade. I'll never give up 3 assets with such value for a guy that might walk away in 2 yrs. I posted it to see reactions and opinions. You don't have to post a full breakdown report to make a subjective point.

That’s because you have no clue how the NHL works, and are just a kinda crazy habs fan. It’s all good.

That likely makes more sense to me than the response would have in english.

I’ll take that as a, “i just listed a whole bunch of bad comparables so I’m just going to speak french to end this.”

Have a good one. 93 must have been fun.

ok smart boy found me a comparable if you are so smart?
and if you want to be a smart ass at least gave true fact. Stone a spoke with vegas for a extension and that trade was conditionnal to that so he was never a rental.
As for Duchenes Colorado ended up with a great return because Ottawa felt apart, when Sakic had made that trade the first round pick was projected to be a late first. He look like a genius now but at the moment of the trade it was a bunch of suspect a first round pick and Girard was the main pieces, Do little research for once. these are all extremely fair comparable for Barkov.
if you can find one better comparable that isnt 30 years old go ahead i would love to heard about it.

The trade was not conditional on an extension. That isn’t a thing.

Honestly there isn’t really a good comparable out there. Franchise centers don’t really get traded with two years left on their deal.

VEGAS have had a agreement with Stone. they wouldn't have acquired him at that cost if he wouldn't have sign a extension.

And like i said before these are the three best Comparable i have found. it's not science but it gave a good ideas of the kind of return Gm are offering. Even a guy like Karlson havent fetch a enormus return. Ottawa got lucky with the first round pick but before that it was a big package loaded with prospect and pick no real impact player.

Karlsson only had one year left. Not two.

I'm sorry for my previous deleted comment @the_architect, it was rude from me. I wonder what is the point of making a bad trade just to see reactions... is this what we called trolling?
