One of Brodie or Muzzin might be traded, but I doubt both with be traded. The leadership and defensive stability are crucial to this team. Remove these 2 from the leafs and you have probably the worst defence in the nhl. A few years down the road, it might not be as bad, but I'd still rather not resign Mikheyev/ sign new forwards.

Agreed until not resigning Mikheyev. Dude's a monster.

Nothing against resigning Mikheyev. I just am very opposed to the idea of trading both Muzzin and Brodie. I just said Mikheyev because the big 4 likely aren't going anywhere, Hyman should stay too. Kerfott is also an option here.

Kerfoot is as gone as it gets when Hallander's ready to take over 3C (that is assuming Seattle takes Dermott)

Well, it might have to be both gone, that's what I'm saying.

I'm just using Roy as an example. A guy that is a good bottom 6 forward and can help out. Something the Leafs could use.

That's fair. Kerfoot is a good trade candidate

So you trade cap to other teams, who also need cap space. Sorry this doesn't work in the NHL when most teams are near the cap. Equal cap has to come back, never mind players may invoke their NMCs

It's just a trade example. These trades are concepts. For instance I see them trading Brodie and Muzzin for forward depth and cap relief but those trades can involve any other team

Since Brodie and Muzzin have MMCs. are they willing to be trade especially teams with cap which are generally poorer teams.
