Seattle takes Graves

Created by: milehigh11
Team: 2021-22 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 18, 2021
Published: Jan. 18, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Some might say that is low for Landeskog but he never wanted out when the Avs were bad and he is in the same mindset as Mackinnon. Take less to keep the team together.

This is by far the best Defense the Avs have had in a decade. With Toews being the oldest at 26.

With 10 million still left in cap room we would need to sign a veteran stay at home defender for the 3rd line and possibly get a top 6 fwd for protection to newhook. And theoretically we could keep EJ for that Dman role but its at the cost of 6million

Grubauer gets the same contract that Vegas gave their goalie. So far Saad hasnt impressed so unless he wants to come back on the cheap like 2-3 million.

also wouldnt put it past Sakic to make a big trade if a youngster wants out of a situation cause of losing like Eichel.

the future is bright

If you sign makar without bridging him thats a team friendly contract of 5.5-6 not 8 AAV.

I get that Detroit isn’t the team but you’re probably not going to get a 2nd + 4th for Donskoi in a Covid world. You guys traded 2x seconds for Toews and his value way higher.

Landeskog is loyal, but that is way too cheap. Even if he gives you a discount its going to be 7+

On a long term deal Makar's gonna get 10M easily. Maybe 8M on a 3 year bridge deal.

Donskoi is worth a 3rd round pick not a high 2nd round pick.

I think his, and Nuges contacts are gonna be similar. Definitely around 7M is fair for like 5 or so years.

I agree no way Detroit gives up a 2nd which will most likely be the 1st or 2nd pick of the 2nd round for a 28yr old winger. If you don't want Detroit fans to answer don't put the Wing's Logo there it's that simple.

Donskoi might fetch a low second, more likely a third. Landy is 7-7.5 for 5. Makar I'd love it if we got him for that, but I think it will be more for long term.
