Would you do Virtanen for Puljujarvi? Virtanen is more proven in the NHL but Puljujarvi has a higher ceiling.

Puljujarvi is the type of player they are trying to draft and build, big guys who can skate and forecheck, so i don't think they let him go till they are sure he won't be a player and even then they'd be happy if he turned into a 40 point guy who kills penalties.

It will take a lot more to get Tkachuk and if they do, im guessing he will get between $7-8M per year.

I'm sorry but he's a 40 point scoring winger. He would be lucky to get 6 Million he's not patrik laine or Nylander.

I know all about him he's the best player in the game in front of the net and a character guy, That's why i'm trading for him! I'm just saying that gets you an extra million per year not 3!

I want you to tell anyone who will listen that Brady Tkachuk is a 40 point winger, and will never get better. If you think he’s going to get better, then he’s not really a 40 point winger, is he? You are either an idiot, or don’t know the player, you choose which one it is. Go back to your video game.

Somebody who scored 40 points is a 40 point winger regardless of if they might get better. You can pay somebody for potential but that’s not a 2 million dollar overpay based on comparables. You sign them to somewhere close to what they are worth and if that’s not enough for them you bridge them. He could get a 6x7 contract or a 5x3.

So you know who the player that scored 45 points in 71 games as a 19 year old, and 44 points in 71 games as a 20 year old is, so yeah, you don’t know the guy who you call a 40 point winger is. Congratulations you’re not an idiot, the other option. Keep trying to convince me of the other option.

On a side note, based on your logic, Panarin is also a 40 point winger, since we’re rounding down.
