The first trade makes them better but the rest is not helpful.

No. Downgraded the top 6. Bottom 6 didn’t improve and Dcore is arguable on whether you improved it or not according to leaf fans. I think you did but not enough to negate the downgrade in the top 6. Nylander has a pretty significant gap on Hoffman imo and Dubios isn’t an upgrade on Tavares right now.

Actually I am not sure I do like the first trade. Jones is good as is PDL but this would leave the Leafs offense weakened and I don't like Hoffman.

To answer your original question and not look at the value of your trades...

Tavares vs Dubois.... downgrade. Dubois is great. But not elite.
Jones vs Brodie... upgrade for sure. Jones is outstanding.
Hoffman vs Nylander... downgrade. I am not a Nylander fan. But Hoffman is more one dimensional.
Cernak vs Holl... upgrade. Holl is a solid 4th d man. Cernak has third potential.
Having Killorn now vs some future... upgrade. Killorn is a type of player any team contending needs now.

Overall I would say maybe a very slight upgrade. You lose some scoring power but gain two way play.

Hard to say. There's loads of Jones haters out there. CBJ gets better talent in that "trade", but less value.

Ultimately TOR is a skilled team, but they evidently aren't reaching their highest level. Its a locker room issue evidently. Trades won't suddenly fix all locker room issues. Swapping skill like this for a better on paper team is unlikely to fix the elephant in the room.

You DO realize Tavares currently is tied with Marner for the lead in nhl point so far this season right? I know it's early, and I agree Tavares is a little overpaid (but the amount he's overpaid is highly exaggerated), but just thought I'd point it out.

Also, Jones is a UFA in 2 years, while Nylander is still under contract for 4 more seasons, CBJ might at least think about that trade due to contract length, maybe if Toronto added a small add. But it won't happen anyways due to Tavares' NMC.
