After game one, I would agree with you about Bogo. He seems to have settled in alright since then, let's hope he can keep it up.

At the very least, Bogo is making it tough on other teams to have any sort of board play in the offensive zone, something the Leafs have surely lacked for as long as I can remember. He doesn't appear to be all that confident with the puck on his stick, but he isn't turning the puck over in these same circumstances. I would like to see Lehtonen get some more time, perhaps Keefe will run the 11F 7D format for a little bit to get him some time.

Bogosian either stands in front and crosschecks everyone who comes near or he is out of position. When he has the puck he skates to centre and dumps it in or gives it to Dermott to do everything.

I think you might need to lower your expectations of a minimum wage 3rd pairing aging defenseman. I've got no problems with him giving Dermott the puck to make the smarter pass out of the zone. Not every defenseman is a speedy, carry the puck out of the zone defenseman.

I'm sure he realizes he isn't the best passer anymore, hence why he gives the puck to Dermott. If Dermott isn't available, I've got no issues with him skating the puck up to centre, dumping it in and allowing the forwards to go chase. It's obviously not ideal, but at least the puck is out of our own end.

I had a problem with him early because of his unnecessary penalties, which he appears to have cleaned up so far. I'd personally keep him in until that problem starts to come back, then give him the boot and let Lehtonen get some more ice time.

he's making 1M not minimum wage. still, he's not effective even without the puck, we have better options (i.e. lehtonen and sandin) who can move the puck and are fast, making less money.

hyman is better than what is being shown of him on the 3rd line. he was given 1 opportunity on the matthews line and they scored. not that he was neccessarily the reason for that, and i do think they should keep jumbo on that line, but hyman is better than what he's being given. vesey flubs the puck, that entire line is carried by JT and willy being amazing. vesey has been a pile-on who often loses the puck or can't read the play fast enough. he's been decent a few times but nothing close to what hyman could give if hyman was given a shot with those two.
