More of not being a tire fire in his own end. He's looked good and is playing to his size. We'll see if his play is sustained or just a short burst

Yea...but he's a big Dman who had 8 hits in a dominating performance against the flyers.

It's decent value. If in Winnipeg I ask for a mid round pick or mid tier prospect back as a sweetener with how bad of a contract Ristolainen's on and he's not that good.

The team is playing good defence. Not because of Ristolainen. A few games doesn't change the fact that he's horrible in his own end and at beta he's average offensively. Highly overpaid d-man don't have much value, and when Buffalo has been shopping him for quite sometime, it lowers his value even more. If you could get 2 roster players in return for him, you're best to take it and run

Have you watched all 3 games? I have. He's been noticeably better in his own end. In fact, montour and Dahlin have looked really bad in their end. Miller has been consistent, and Joki is poised as ever. The defense has been par or worse then last year apart from Risto. Like I said, 3 games we'll see where he goes. Pleasantly surprised with him thus far. And is Poolman really a roster player? 27 year old with under 100 games doesn't scream that, although I'm not in the loop for Jets players. Roslovic is interesting, but isn't he still a hold out because he wants to play top 6 center? Dunno if he's an upgrade over Staal now and def not Cozens long-term

Poolman is a roster player...a late bloomer who was a rookie last year. a decent 2nd or 3rd pair RD. This trade would hinge on Rosy signing so that wont really matter.

3 games doesn't make up for 7 seasons of horrendous defence.

Kinda why I said we'll see where he goes. There's no denying he was lost under housley. He played much better last year, and is off to a fast start this year. We'll see if he keeps it up, but that would be a much needed boost for Buf to actually be good
