Assuming these trades go through, I wouldn't give Bura that much. Mac and Byram are up for new contracts the following season, and Mac will make a boat load more than he does now. Going to need quite a bit of cap space.

It really depends with mack he said he would be willing to take a cut to keep the team competitive.

I hope more players do that, but realistically why would Mac take any less than Rantanen? Mac stuck it out for the rough years whereas Rantanen got paid right away. I'm sure Mac loves the avs, but he deserves to get paid.

I'd be really surprised if Timmins got that much on his next contract. Ditto for Jost.

The Florida trade is unrealistic because Florida would never take on that bad contract. Borgstrom has shown nothing at the NHL level either, certainly not enough for a defensively oriented 4C role.

Graves gets more than a 2+5 combo. Try something closer to what Toews cost.

Kadri is gonna get more $ than that btw.

Well there is only one year left on the Johnson contract so they can acquire him and extend him for less money.

It's still gonna be in the $12m region one would think. If not higher.

$12m is less than he's worth. He could easily ask for $13m or more if he wanted to. And there would be a team that would pay him that.

MacK is easy taking up what cap space you have there the following season at bare minimum. Gonna lose a lot of players in the offseason. EJ is likely with the Avs til the end of this contract. Graves will likely be gone to Seattle in the expansion draft. If not then you'll be missing one of Compher or Donskoi most likely.

Well Mack said he wants a pay-cut and Donskoi takes away 4 mil from the cap space. I'm sure Sakic can pull a Tampa with this roster

MacK saying he's willing to take a team friendly deal is somewhat different to any kind of 'pay cut' and he's still going to want a reasonable deal. He's still not going to be less than Rantanen's money even being team friendly. Minimum is likely $10mil per, and that would still be a steal. If he takes less than that then I'd seriously doff my cap to him.

Well look at the expiring contracts. Donskoi, Conolly Compher frees up like 11 mil. Also the 6.3 mil from Mackinnon too. So u can pay Mackinnon and Byram and get a slight downgrade in terms of forward depth but you keep your core intact
