Is Dvorak more of a bottom 6 forward or a middle 6 guy?

Middle 6, IMO, kind of like Nino. I really wanted to build a mini-St. Louis/Carolina club with tons of depth.

Nino would be an interesting trade piece next offseason. Carolina needs to resign Svech, Dougie Hamilton, several other forwards, and both their goalies are UFA's. If Carolina is tight on cap space, Niederreiter would be a strong candidate to be moved. If the Coyotes have cap space next offseason, might as well pick him up. His value should be next to nothing if Carolina needs to move him unless he has a really good year.

Do you watch a lot of Arizona or is this just what you think? Dvorak is definitely a better center than Schmaltz

Nino's having a good year, at least so far. If he keeps up the current pace, he could get a return similar to, or more than, Stepan. Hope he keeps up the good work.

This makes no sense for Carolina. Nino is looking like he's going to have an up year (fingers crossed) which means he could very well put up 30-40 points in 56 games. He is worth more than that if he has an up year.

I sort of went for an in-between scenario here between best and worst case. I agree, though, he's looked great so far.

He is looking good so far. He's got 2 goals in 3 games although one was an empty netter. The Stepan return was really suprising to most people so I'm not sure if he'll get that good of a return unless he has a really good season. If he finished on pace for ~20 goals in an 82 game season I think the value you have here is pretty fair for both sides. The only problem would be that Carolina would want to hold onto him if he was a 20 goal scorer since that would make him a big part of their offense so this trade would only work if Carolina was really desperate for cap.

Or, like when Faulk was traded, there's a good-value UFA still out on the open market and Nino has interest with teams as a sign-and-trade candidate. That's always a distinct possibility.

If he keeps going, I think maybe something like the Ottawa 2nd and Crouse is fairer... but if he slows down, this might be fairer.
