Other than the fact CGY aren't contenders (there isn't a contender in the north division, fight me), this is very true.

I think Calgary’s pretty close honestly. We were about 2 minutes from beating Dallas in 5 and they reached the cup final, and since then we’ve improved our defense, significantly upgraded our goaltending, and increased our depth as well. If Monahan and Lindholm perform better in the playoffs (and Tkachuk doesn’t get hurt) I think Calgary has a real shot to go deep. I think if we picked up a guy like Palmieri (top 6 RW with some goal scoring ability, doesn’t have to be Palms but that calibre of guy) we’d be a legitimate threat.
