Florida doesn’t need more D. They’re shedding Yandle for a reason.

I figured this was a good move to simply shed cap space, they don't need to play Moore. Florida also doesn't have many options due to his NMC.

I just find it hard to believe that this is the best Florida can do.

I could be undervaluing Yandle here, but I went the conservative trade route due to his NMC. Yandle essentially holds all of the power.

idk man 4.55 for yandle at this stage in his career. ide rather just see what lauzon and zboril can do. our issue is offense, not defense.

thats why i said their issue is offense, not defense? its been the same issue since horton got hurt and lucic was traded. not enough skill offensively. i quoted a post you had yesterday acknowledging injuries are playing a factor right now. and it doesnt help that both varlomov and blackwood played really really well against us. that being said. they still need to figure it out offensively. it cant be all the brad marchand and patrice bergeron show.

This has nothing to do with Moore, they just bury him. It’s about them dumping Yandle, saving cap, and getting out from under those final 2 years.

But they are not taking Moore and retaining , it’s either or. And now that he is playing rather than HS, and playing well, It will take a better offer. 2nd and Moore no retention maybe.
