Value is probably not fair but a trade revolving around these pieces could make sense. The Leafs could use a power forward in their top 6. They also trade Andersen for a younger and cheaper goalie. The Rangers get Kerfoot for salary reasons and to improve their center depth. Lehtonen is a solid LHD that could do well in New York, especially on their left side. The duo of Georgiev and Shesterkin isn't going to work so getting a older and more experienced goalie. Also this gives Laf and Kaako room in the top 6. Again, the value is probably not fair, but. picks/players could be added.

could we use Kreider? Hell yea any team could. do we want kreider at 6.75 mil for like 6 more years? No, we can't even come close to affording that. Sure the cap balances now but we r screwed for the long term. Not to mention the fact that I am a lot less confident in our goaltending now.

Kreider will waive his NMC for Toronto when Trouba does, Which is never.

I don't hate this tbh, retain a bit on Kreider and I think the leafs bite

It’s an interesting idea it debatably makes us worse but it does solve our goaltending issue for next year and krieder could be of some use, I’d be sad to see kerfoot leave but the rest I’m fine with, I’d counter with 1.5 retained on krieder and leafs add a 2022 2nd, rangers don’t really need kerfoot but Andy and Mikko could be huge additions

cap space will clear naturally over the next year.
Andersen is not an upgrade over AG and i'm not sure why the Rangers would move him at all. Andersen is older and on an expiring contract.
Lehtonen is 27 years old and i would not define him as someone with "a ton" of potential.
Kerfoot is a dime a dozen.

again, no value here for the Rangers.
