I think either Staal or Haula would be best, cap wise and probably some of the better players on that list.
Also I’m interested to see what Sakic does with this new cap space.

I could see them being interested in Tierney if he were to be made available. Has an extra year on his deal at a reasonable cap hit.

For me Cizikas is the top choice, Stepan a hell no, and if they really wanted him they would have figured some way out to get him in Haula.

I can't see the Islanders moving Cizikas. They love him too much over there. Win or lose, I think he stays.

Staal still has his 10 team NTC. Which he filled entirely with contending teams in an effort to stay in Minnesota. That's a bit of a red-flag if you ask me, beyond the fact he's pretty well cooked playing wise. It's pretty ironic that Buffalo asked after him literally the day after he had submitted his NTC to the league and Guerin pounced on the trade.

The others are decent options, barring maybe Stepan.

Toews cap hit and term makes him a difficult target for the Avs. Plus hes out indefinitely and I can barely find any information on his status/expected return date for this season

You have to watch Zajac to appreciate his value. I think he'd be a great pick up for the Avs.
