That's not remotely desirable for Dumba. I have no idea why the Rangers would want him, but it would almost certainly involve Kravtsov+ or the 1st+, if not Chytil+. Strome could possibly be involved if he was how the Rangers choose to shed their cap space, but as the center piece he doesn't get it done.

Minn will need to move cap at some point snd have no 1st or even 2nd line center to play with Fiala and Kiprosov ... they need to do something. Dumba is really the only tradable asset they have that they can part with. Even that his 6 million $ cap hit is high for a D man that’s not especially gifted Defensively and offensive upside is not great. All that said, I’ve always liked Dumba and think he could be better in a more fast over system. But Minn fans are prolly right, Strome prolly doesn’t get the deal done and idk if it’s worth throwing a 2nd round pick in there
