people are overrating Dubois hes 2C or FRINGE 1C at best. Glass should be that, Kotkaniemi is better, Strome trade is most realistic

Well, Those packages look good if he is in fact a top 15 1C. Part of the issue is many think he is an elite 2C or a 1C on teams that don't have 1C.. Many teams already have two 1C so immediately they are out of the conversation.. Other teams already have a 1C and 2C and PLD won't be much of an upgrade and not worth the price tag. LVGK seem to be doing well with Chandler so I doubt they make that move. MTL is having success down the middle so they walk. NYR could certainly look to upgrade 2C and they have more than enough assets to do so without losing Laf, Kakko, Fox. I don't see him as an elite 1C so I would say that cost is high while it also wouldn't hurt us to give it up. And yes, I know he "should" be better in a different system. At the end of all of this I think I pull the trigger on that deal if push came to shove but not because that is a good or even the right value. But sometimes you have to overpay.

Okay. I like the comparisons. I have a lot of hope for KK still. I do think he should be surrounded by more than just toffoli though. I hope he gets there. Glass is one that breaks my heart I was so excited when he made the knights roster. I love the kid and his playing style. Injuries are just crushing him. His potential is definitely still there. As for strome, I’m definitely a personal fan, so I agree the trade is most realistic. Thanks for the response!

From a Vegas perspective CBJ would have to retain or take extra cap for a PLD trade to happen.

That’s fair. I think the net cap going to Vegas in this trade would be about 500k more for Vegas. So, yea, retention would be necessary.

And wait, this is all because he will play better with Panarin, while those same ppl say Strome has no value since he plays better with Panarin, and has the ability to potentially become a 1c.
