Sure Zaitsev has had a weirdly fantastic start with 3 A1s and a 12 CF rel, but hugely unsustainable, and in the two games vs the Leafs that I watched I didn't notice much about the other two aside from Gudbranson looking weirdly spry so I dunno like

Based on what exactly? He had a good year last year in the A and reportedly looked good in camp

How? Borgen is really solid defensively.

It's not just about the stats, he's played visually very very well. I think it might be in part to off ice / family issues that have been resolved. Apparently hes the happiest and fittest he's been coming into training camp. He's looking like did his first season in Toronto.

Gudbranson and Brown have played well in our system where the RHD is physical and defensive minded while our LHDs are more active and push up ice. They've both played well so far and although I like Montour I'm not sure if his style of game would get him in the lineup above those two (especially with out coach) but it would great to have that option.

Once again I think the trade is fair and good for both teams, but don't think Montour gets many starts with Ottawa regardless.
