With all due respect. No Canadian team has had a lot to cheer about since the salary cap era started. Canucks, Senators, and Oilers had the closest shot in this time period. And further to that, no Canadian team has a lot to cheer about since the last lockout (2012-2013) when the game changed again.
Since the last lockout (the 2020 Playin does not count as Playoffs in my books)
Montreal - Qualified for Playoffs 5 of 8 years
Toronto and Calgary - Qualified for Playoffs 4 of 8 years
Ottawa, Winnipeg and Vancouver - Qualified for Playoffs 3 of 8 years
Edmonton - Qualified for Playoffs 1 of 8 years.
