That's a fair assessment, but Ottawa definitely isn't the team that would give him the opportunity. No way Dorion would try and acquire a player like him, and even if he did, DJ Smith isn't playing a guy with his play style in his bottom six.

OTT will be an interesting team to watch at the TDL (getting a little ahead of myself).
THey acquired some decent vets on expiring deals and are capable of retaining cash.
I wonder what Stepan would fetch? The sens already got a 2nd just to take him, could he get another 2nd? maybe with retention? Animismov is a meh,. but maybe his play improves.
Coburn and Gundbranson (with retention) have value as a depth dmen to any playoff team; Paquette is a gritty bottom 6 guy with playoff experience
I like what theyve done and what they are capable of doing to acquire future assets. Still think they couldve found room for Brannstrom

I like it for NYI but I don't think Trotz will like Galchenyuk. But for just some organizational depth I'm into it. This would have to be done much closer to the deadline.
