Looks less like an injury, and more of an issue between player and coach. They would have mentioned whether he looked uncomfortable on the ice or something that made the situation look injury based

Toronto fans turned Kessel into a "coach killer" now they'll try run the same story line with Matthews? God that's annoying.

Definitely can't see him re-signing. We will have to take the hit and build a team around Matthews, Marner, and if Nylander isn't traded.

Taylor Hall is not even on the same stratosphere as Matthews. How'd that trade workout by the way? If you consider Hall a superstar, how did trading the superstar workout? Can't win those trades. But like I said, Hall is not even close to as much of a star as Matthews. Not. even. close.

So when you said "When's the last star to be traded? Post Salary cap era? Is there even one?" what you really meant is when is the last time that a 23-year-old Auston Matthews was traded on a Thursday on mid January during a covid pandemic? You are right. That exact scenario has never happened.
