I understand where you're coming from with the analysis. I think Montour and Mittelstadt carry a little more value to a team like CBJ because they will fit into roles well. Montour will be a middle pair dman likely and Torts should be able to turn Mittsy into a middle 6 center. He won't have the offensive upside we all wanted but already in camp this year his 2way play was much improved. They'll also need a new backup so Hutton fills that role. I totally accept your assessment of "not enough quality" though

Any thoughts on an easy fix? I think Olofsson is the key to making a move here. His 5-on-5 play is dragging the Sabres down wayyyy too much.

That's right, Olofsson is a pretty weak 5-on-5 player, he only knows how to stand and shoot, and mostly he does it only on the PP. I just think Columbus will get a better offer and they want the center, Mittelstadt is not listed as a good NHL center yet. I think it would be difficult for us to get PLD without Cozens+.
