In my opinion Kuemper is the only goalie that could potentially be available and would be an upgrade to Anderson, this only happens at the TDL both teams aren’t rushing until they see more of the season but if, huge if here, Arizona is out of it, officially rebuilding and Anderson’s play is still debatable this makes the most sense, if you can get him retained it’s gonna help next year a lot and gives a bit of money to play with, this is an idea for that money, it’s very unrealistic Detroit loves bertuzzi and honestly no idea how we can resign him but could help a playoff run as would Bobby Ryan, also before calling Yegor a nobody look at his KHL stats this year he’s doing well could make any NHL team next year I bet, kinda going “all-in” but also grabbed a 3rd and 4th I think Dubas can grab a couple gems in a covid tainted draft

1 year deal, good price, good player, on a losing team that would maybe want picks and prospects but I guess not, but these pieces I’m throwing out aren’t nothing amirov was last drafts 1st for the leafs and Yegor was a 2nd and is ripping it up in the KHL right now and this years 1st on top of that

Bertuzzi was given a 1 year deal due to salary arbitration, He'll be signed long term this summer. If Bertuzzi is moved it will be part of a bigger package for say PLD. Not for futures.

I like Amirov alot as a prospect but I can't see them moving bert unless it was for a big piece.

Zero interest in that acquisition cost for Bertuzzi.

He's just not something the leafs need even if he's worth that much. Don't spend assets for wingers. It makes no sense

To be fair this is the equivalent of 2 firsts for bertuzzi and one is 15th overall. I wouldn't dismiss this trade so quickly even with how bert fits

I’m not sure I’d ask Yegor is “ripping up” the KHL. He has 28 pts in 47 games and oddly he was PPG the first dozen or so games so he’s massively cooled off. This isn’t a 18-20 year old doing this either, he’s 24.

The Wings needs are high end center or LHD prospects. So that leaves really Sandin whom wasn’t included and we are pretty set on the wing even if you subtract Bert as we’d have Mantha, Zadina, Raymond, Berggren, Fabbri, etc. as either young roster players to decent prospects. First round picks are nice but where does that pick land?

So I’d counter (only talking Bert here) for Sandin + 1st

I agree. Toronto got 1st, a good player and a good prospect for Kapanen and Bertuzzi is at least just as good if not better.
