Preds very easily decline that trade.

Gadreau just simply isn't worth that, especially as a UFA in two years who has been rumored to be interested in testing FA.

Where the hell has he been rumoured to want to test UFA aside from idiots on here who think Eric Francis has any sort of journalistic integrity? And even then it was trade rumours, not UFA departure rumours. The only thing he’s ever been quoted as saying as far as I’m aware is that he can see himself remaining a flame for life. I really despise this response or justification for not wanting/wanting rid of an elite offensive talent like Johnny.

I've read rumors of PHI and NJD, but who knows if they're legit. Either way, I'd much rather have 4 years of Arvy + a lot of years of Tomasino + 1st than potentially 1.5 years of Gaudreau.

I understand the reason for the reason for the decline. However my point is the only things related to Gaudreau leaving are pure speculation posts based on him being from southern NJ (near Philly).

And that's fair, but I still wouldn't risk Arvy + Tomasino + 1st on it.
