Chiarot hasn't been sharp and Weber neither but it looks like focus, not age. I think they'll be fine but they're definitely rusty IMO. Chiarot looks like he's trying a bit to hard to be the #3 of the big 3. Instead he should be doing what Edmundson is doing, keeping it simple.

I think we have our best team in a long time, we have 2 capable goalies, incredible forward depth and our lines are clicking, good defensive depth and chemistry, a good PP and a decent PK but it can score

If the comparable is Pageau, Danault is worth at least 500k more. Taxes and exposure to medias also need to be considered (comparing to an UFA offer).

Keep in mind 6x5M was a starting offer. Nobody expected him to agree to it without counter offering.

Tbh, I didnt consider Dubois as a necessary move (even as a good move) but with Danault potentially wanting to leave because of his role with the team, maybe a deal centered around Danault extended would make sense. The big break is coming soon for MTL and Dubois clearly is on his last miles witj CLB.
