CJ said that he spoke to Mete about getting him in the lineup last week. It’s good to get your players in for some games, but this isn’t just to appease Mete because of his “trade request”. The trade thing seems like Darren Ferris shenanigans to me.

I think Julien will side with the PK'er over the more offensive Perry. We got the goals coming on all lines, now we need some good defensive players to make sure we keep them out and thats where Byron will stay in. Perry knew he would be the odd man out. Frankly its ok, Perry is up there in age, he could stand to play less games anyway. Habs don't need more goals right now but I agree Perry has been playing better and if one guy should sit based simply on merit or lac there of, it should be Byron. Even though he's actually been pretty decent.

This definitely makes the most sense for both sides. Phil will want to see what the market is like before signing a contract, and the habs have nothing to lose by waiting out the season and seeing how everything plays out.

Now if only this could stop everyone from making trades involving him in the AC-GM section.

What the f*ck was that Chiarot? I can’t believe this guy. He’s looked terrible whenever he’s not playing with Weber, and the penalties are ****ing ridiculous. Clean up your act, because you’re being nothing but a nuisance to the team right now.

Well that wasn’t great. That’s the kind of game you want Carey to just be solid, and we’d have been in the game more than we were. Anyways, Murray was good, and the habs just weren’t able to get rolling, although part of that was the fact that they were without Perry, Anderson, and/or Drouin for parts of the game. Carey was bad, Chiarot was awful, and the rest of the team were all just ok. Not much that they can change in regards to the lineup, other than maybe move KK back to the right side on the PP.

Very physical 1st period. I see the habs are going with the interesting no one timers setup on the powerplay. Don’t love Weber on the point, but honestly he isn’t really ideal no matter where you put him on the man advantage.
