Dumba has looked good this year. He's hit the post I think every game, has had tons of good looks in the offensive zone and PP, and has looked solid in his own zone for the most part. Problem for Columbus is that they don't need him at all, their blue line is fine.

Edit: Don't think Guerin would want him, as much as we need him. Guerin has preached the idea of competiviness every time he's on the radio/in podcasts and after tonight idk how you can call PLD competitive. His performance was downright embarrassing. You can want off a team but to let your teammates down like that... Woof

Sure but he's still a top 4 D. Columbus needs scoring up front even with PLD, I'd imagine they'd make a trade that gets them a decent NHL forward to help this year.

Will he be worth the package that gets him? Most likely

I don't see minny as a fit. Both teams badly need centers. I think a promising young center or good center prospect is a must in any PLD trade.

That's three by my count. Three young promising centers/good center prospects.

Everyone says Columbus still wants to compete. But if PLD is moved, irregardless of whatever they might get back, the Blue Jackets are going to be a rebuilding team. It would still likely take them at least 2-3 years before they're ready to compete again.

What they want, and what they're likely to get is probably a far cry from what most people expect. Especially after what just happened, which really screws Jarmo at the trade table.

I disagree. Dubois value hasn't gone down at all. Torts is widely known as the worst coach to play for. I doubt it surprised anyone in the league when another player said he doesn't want to be there anymore. There will be much better offers than the one you just created.
