You can't honestly think he'll get his wish of being sent out of CBJ to be a little diva right after. He's not motivated to play with Torts. Quite obvious.

I cant see why he would act like a diva while trying to get traded, he already limited CBJs options, now hes making a terrible impression on those handful of GMs remaining. I wouldnt want someone like that coming into my locker room mid season

I could care less. No one is motivated to do something like that. Requesting a trade makes you essentially blacklisted by the organization. Spoils everything and makes everyone uncomfortable.

No motivation to play under pressure or in uncomfortable situations. A little worrisome

Just look at Ryan O'Reilly. A new team could light a fire under PLD. I still say his playoff performance last year still outweighs quitting on notoriously the worst coach to play for.

Playing in the SCF in game 7 is less pressure and mental distress than this situation.

PLD dreams to play for MTL ... so if GMs doesn’t like what they see, perfect for him lol he wants MTL. But MTL won’t offer what NYR can offer. They could, but they won’t

Don't feel the Rangers should trade for PLD. Especially for what you and others are proposing giving up in trade for him. Losing 2 centers in Chytil and Strome in itself would weaken the Rangers much more than adding PLD would strengthen the team.

I don't see PLD putting up more points playing with Panarin than Strome and Chytil is already a good 3rd line center who certainly has very good 2nd or 1st line potential. Currently the Rangers don't have anyone who could step up and play 3C.

Maybe Howden could? But I'd much rather have Strome and Chytil than PLD. And on top of that, NYR would also give up Lundkvist and a 1st round pick. All for a player whom the Rangers probably won't have the cap space to resign in two years.

Not be a hardo, but every time you step on the ice you have an obligation to your teammates to give 110% every shift. You can hate the organization and coach all you want, but to give that type of effort- literally just going through the motions- tells me there’s something else there. No excuse for quitting on the guys in the locker room like that IMO.

ROR never quit on the ice though. Perfect example, thats why he exceled. He was frustrated but still went out and gave 100%. Then Pegula forced a trade because his comments didnt align with the One Buffalo way

No way MTL can't beat our offer. Caufield, Romanov, Kotkaniemi, Guhle, Suzuki, Norlinder, Primeau, and Tatar vs Kakko, Lafreniere, Kravtsov, Lundkvist, Miller, Buchnevich, Georgiev.

I'd assume Romanov, Suzuki, Lafreniere, Kakko, and Miller as only untouchables of this major pool of assets we can burn.

I'd do anything but these 5 players:
- Alexis Lafreniere
- Kaapo Kakko
- Adam Fox
- K'Andre Miller
- Igor Shesterkin

He's not been great this season. Might bounce back in CBJ. Worth a shot no?

Henriksson will step in and no way is Strome and Chytil worth more to us than Dubois would be. Come on, that's crazy. Strome is showing his true colors and Chytil has looked better but he's not a 2C.

Plenty of times- both in athletics and in my personal life. Point of the matter is you cannot wilt under pressure and give 0 effort in these situations, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. You owe it to yourself and your teammates (or family, spouse, etc.) to handle any uncomfortable situations professionally because your actions are a direct reflection upon you as a person. It will only help you in the long run.

For instance, what's the worst that happens if PLD plays hard, and is benched? Then Torts looks like the jerk that he is, and you're perceived as a guy who, no matter what the circumstance, gives 110% every time he's on the ice.

Instead, he chose to dog it, and is now being perceived as a prima donna who will give a lackluster effort when things aren't going his way.
