The Avalanche already has a winning environment, I don't see them trading with the Sabres for pieces they don't need

Personally, I don't want to trade away Timmins. I've loved his game so far this year, so I'd much rather see Graves going the other way if a defenseman needs to be included.

Good point about the need. Buffalo are indeed deep at RHD. But building around Jokiharju and Timmins would be pretty solid if they wanted to dispatch Montour and Miller.

What do you think would be the rental price for each of Staal and Hall? Bear in mind that Hall has full control of his destination.

Behind Montour and Miller are Borgen and Laaksonen. Theyll probably hold on to Miller though if possible. Dont know, I dont think theyre going to move them so I havent thought about it

Do Borgen or Laaksonen have higher upside than Timmins? Timmins is already playing in Colorado's top 4. We have 7 Dmen who would play in a lot of teams top 4 so something may have to give, and Graves or Timmins are the logical ones to move.

Ive been saying since 2018 Borgen will be a top 4 Dman, this is the closest shot he's had an a lot of the Sabres fan base would now like to see him, With Risto and Jokiharju Borgen doesnt have to be a top 4 guy and that makes up 3 RHD. Then Miller and Montour, which Montour can go, but I think they like Miller and will hang on to him at least until he walks if they cant get a deal done. Laaksonen will be a project but they have enough depth to see where that goes
