Review of BOS vs PHI 12121

Description
Bruins finally start to put the puck in the net in a SOW over PHI. Here are some notes

POSITIVES
- I thought Jeremy Lauzon had a very good game
- Studnicka and Coyle had their best game of the season. Studnicka is noticeably getting more touches
- Nick Ritchie has been awesome.
- Craig Smith had a good game, had a few chances
-Rask was unbelievable.

NEGATIVES
-Anders Bjork had a pretty bad game. Wouldn't be surprised to see him scratched next game.
- Bruins in OT didn't look very good..at all.
- Stay out of the box.
- I thought the fourth line had their worst game of the season after being one of the better lines.
- Grzelcyk can't catch a break. Let's hope he's okay.
- I thought Zboril had another good game, but he did get caught flat footed in the end of the third and in OT. He's learning still, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt!
- I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed way more breakaways or odd man rushes against the Bruins compared to last year (still early obviously). I just hope their defensive structure improves a tad bit

The better guys like Frederic and Zboril play......Seattle is unfortunately watching these games... :/

After Studnicka's goal, you can tell he settled down with the puck a little bit. Hopefully he takes that in stride. Ritchie has definitely come along, i think he will fit back into that 3LW eventually but he's played well and been rewarded. Craig smith may not show up on the score sheet every night, but man he works his tail off. Good to see him fire a puck on net pick a point on the coyle goal. B's still need to take opportunities to shoot the puck. Its early in the season, no training camp/preseason the passing is a touch out of sync. Lets take some shots and the passing will come along.

The Seattle situation is obviously looming, but lets enjoy it for now. There are plenty of variables that can happen between now and then.

It's just looking more and more likely Boston will have to make a little deal with Seattle. But you're right, got plenty of time to worry about that

Definitely. At some level though, if each of the exposed young guys plays well (Lauzon, Zboril, Frederic) they wont have to pay an arm and a leg to keep the two they want. Now getting them to take a John Moore is gonna take some value. But at the end of the year they say "We really like Lauzon and Frederic, so were willing to give you Zboril and a sweetner to not take one of the other two" then it wont sting as bad in my mind...obviously just an example. GMs are also way more wary now after Vegas robbed some teams.
