PLD will be traded 100%. Jarmo probably won’t get full value, but he won’t be bullied by Dubois or another GM into making a bad trade. Dubois will return at least an NHL player and a 1st or top prospect. That’s just facts

Even if Ottawa had of been competitive that year, and you ended up with a 15th-20thish pick, that's still a HUGE win.

I don't recall Duchene completely giving up though. After their historically atrocious season, Duchene had 10 pts in 14 games prior to being traded.

O a massive win. My favorite part of that whole saga was how everyone was saying Joe was going to get played like a fiddle, and then after the trade went down, it was the gold standard for what other GMs should aspire to. It literally lay the foundation for the team we have today.

O he definitely didn't give up like PLD did last night, that was bad. But there have been a great many rumors out of the locker room that it didn't go well. Erik Johnson came out while he was still on the team and said "We want guys on the team who want to be here." Bit awkward.

I don't know...it definitely seems like a classless move by PLD. Overreacting to that one game seems like a bad move though.

I agree. If I'm Jarmo, I'm absolutely not moving him until I get the offer that I want. If he wants to be a baby, he can stay glued to the bench.

Best way for him to get what he wants is to go out and give 100%

Yeah he would, really curious bout Zegras. He gonna be elite but wonder how far he’ll go, was insanely good at WJC

Tough to ask people not to post their opinions on a site based on opinions, but I do agree...there are some terrible trades out there.
People keep saying that his trade value has dropped because of his recent benching and trade request, but I think Jarmo will get great value, not the same value as a 22 year old franchise 2 way C (if he isn't now teams will pay for the potential). This is one of those situations that causes more issues the longer it goes on. I imagine there are legit great packages out there and Jarmo should pick one and move on

When he just dog ****s the whole game he’s going to get benched. If he wants a trade he should play as well as he can and be a professional. Who wants that baby attitude on their team? He’s scaring away people who might trade for him.
