We need to stop bringing in experiments and start bringing guys in who won a cup or made a deep playoff run, for example, look at the Canadiens and how they are playing. They don't care about the place they get in the standings, but more how they are playing to be prepared for the playoffs.

Wow I did not know that, but good thing they have Jimmy Vesey as their best depth piece

On a serious note, you can't call yourselves a cup contender if you have Jimmy Vesey on the top 6. Look at how the Leafs are constructed today, starting to look like an AHL built team as advertised in the offseason

its a good team but leafs are getting ripped off in that trade. also I'm surprised you even want PLD still, considering he has been the literal definition of a whiny soft floater ever since he requested a trade.

Adding on top of what I already mentioned, why do you think the Habs are already having a better regular season than the Leafs? They don't need superstar talent, but have depth on all four lines. They may not be built for the regular season as opposed to the Leafs, but they are 100% more prepared for the playoffs. One injury with the Leafs, and the entirety of the construction of this team is in trouble

Of course we are getting ripped off, but we are also allocating the rest of the cap space for depth and defence. I'm quite tired of relying on experiments and want players who have proven something in the NHL

It's called an experiment, see if these players can elevate their game with the big 4 with them

The habs are pretty good, wouldn't be surprised to see them at the top of their division
