Yup. Saying Laine and Roslo for PLD is an overpay is fair. But Bjork + PLD for those 2 is wicked tilted towards winnipeg.

Not really a problem of having quality wingers...see Jets for example lol.

But the problem in CBJ is that they don't have many long-term assets to begin with.

Nothing prevents them from doing other moves accordingly. But Bjorkstrand is not moving, unless the Jets add significantly to this one.

The point is that PLD doesn't have a great return and Laine and Roslovic is way higher than Dubois and prospects/picks

ok 1st. The only piece CBJ is gonna move is PLD.
2nd Roslovic has very little value.
Laine doesn't really solve the problem as he'll be on a club win no center, and right back to asking for a trade as a RFA.
Maybe we see Connor and Roslovoc and maybe a pick for PLD.

Before the Season started I would have done it. Laine proved something in that first game(yes it only one game but still) and PLD has made everything worse for CBJ...hence why he won't be sold for full worth...that's why my heading is that I hope the Jets don't get him

Think Dubois trade value is still full, but it's natural that given his situation there might be some hesitation on his play. CBJ locker room hurts for this whole farce.

What's the situation with Laine? Is he unhappy that he isn't playing on the top line? Does the coach not trust him? I find it so odd that a young guy with such great talent is constantly in trade rumors. When he was drafted I thought he'd become the undeniable face of the Jets franchise.

Wheeler has that role...a consistent ppg guy who had 91 a few years ago...Laine doesn't want to play 2nd fiddle...he got hurt but game 1 was amazing so I figured that he should be playing top line mins...but maybe the Jets are thinking of getting rid of him for PLD cuz that's a close trade instead of futures next year. Ppl will always look back to trades and if those futures didn't pan out, it will look like a loss...PLD, as long as he signs long term, looks like a very good player for a long while

Interesting... I hope for the sake of Jets fans that it all works out. I was excited for Laine to be "the guy" there. If he's swapped for Dubois and Perfetti pans out as a winger to replace him, it would be a huge win for Winnipeg.
