If he stays as a 30 pts player, it's fair. But I believe there is almost a certainty that he will boost his game and the contract will look as a huge steal

When Roslovic played junior his nickname was:

The Columbus Kumquat

Because he would burn goalies like citric acid.

Agreed. Which is also why I think Roslovic only wanted a bridge contract so he could prove that he's worth the long term investment that is surely coming to him

From contract standpoint: The deal isn't much cost with a high upside for him. Good deal for the team and he gets to play for his hometown team.

CBJ FA’s in two years:

Domi
Jenner
Roslovic
Robinson
Foudy
Gerbe
Jones
Werenski
Merzlikens
Korpisalo

And more.

Not to mention whatever comes with Laine in the future. 🤦‍♂️

Expect turnover. For now, CBJ looks solid.

I think Jones and Werenski are sure to stay. The vast majority of Columbus' prospect pool is at forward, so I expect long-term extensions to be focused on Laine, Texier, and the defense.

Yeah...if this all ends up going south, gives CBJ as good an excuse as any to start fresh

Dude has been in Cbus since the end of last season. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was already at Jarmo’s place 😂

If that's true, than the trade of a 3rd Rd pick value makes perfect sense as an O.S. of that $ amount results in a 3rd Rd return.

It's because it was signed during the season.

As long as he can be a third liner not fourth it's fair value at a minimum. 3rd line centre it's a bargain. Anything above that is great value.

RFAs got killed this summer. Any other year a guy like him gets 2.5+

Time for Roslovic to produce, if he does both the contract and the trade will be steals for Columbus.

I think Columbus, like many smaller markets, has a reputation as a less desirable place to play. But, when Rick Nash was nearing the end of his time in NY he often alluded to his hope of returning to Columbus after he retired. Some people really like smaller markets. Gonna be interesting to see how well Jarmo retains these FA's. Seems like UFA's prefer big markets in the US and states with lower taxes.
