Classic. Just because a team has "no use for a player" doesn't mean they're going to dump them for an asset of lesser value.

There's a huge quality difference between these prospects.

Not like you would've accepted Byfield for Lafreniere swap at the draft, even though NYR needed centers over wingers.

A lot of teams would give up a lot more than Schneider to get Perfetti

Jets had no need of Dubois. Perfetti can play C or wing, he's definitely of high value to them. They traded an elite winger for a guy who will be their 2C and it really doesn't make any sense. But Perfetti can replace Laine on the wing.

That being said, I'd love for the Rangers to trade for Perfetti. But it'd take more than Schneider. He's my proposal:

Schneider or Lundkvist
2nd round pick
