Honestly happy for laine, he wanted to be the guy and he’ll get that chance with CBJ.

I think its too early to say who won. The jets are adding an astounding center down the middle and with scheifle, you have one of the most potent top 6 centers in the league. Laine will score 50, but take a look at the jackets depth down the middle and they don't look that great. Laine is an elite goal scorer, and as an individual player, is better than Dubois, but the Jets imo are a better team today, esp with the elite prosects coming up.

Hard to say who won, cups are won down the middle.

Both PLD and Laine need to sign extensions first before you can start to evaluate who won

Highly doubt Perfetti will be ready to play for the Jets next season, can't see him making any kind of significant impact until the 22-23 season.

That’s fine if I could trade for a guy like Laine or sm

On a 1 year deal I think it’s possible but if it’s any more than that no way

Honestly Columbus lost.... not that the Jets won but the Blue Jackets trading a center for a winger? With their center depth? Ouch.

You have a point and my point here is hypothetical but imagine the jackets drafted Kent Johnson this year and had him and Laine as linemates in a few years 👀

Cant say I want to

The issue is Laine just needs a decent center... the only 2 good ones he had r Scheif and Stasney.. (he played with Little mostly but they have 0 chemistry) he was good but him but Wheeler is locked in with Scheif so no room there and the chemistry with Stasney does without saying, surprise surprise the 1st game he got reunited with Stasney he got 2 goals 1 assist

So we’ll see

Happy with the trade tho, he wanted out and we got a 22 year old #1 center back

Vesalainen, Ehlers, Wheeler, and Connor round out an elite top 6 on the wing. they can be patient with perfetti
