idk if the habs would be willing to part with an extended danaut to move up like 30 spots in the draft, but it could work. I think they could get a first for danult straight up

If MTL doesn’t pay danault what he wants, CBJ should be aggressive and trade for him. He’d be a great fit

Didn't you guys hear Nate MacKinnon praising Danault? MTL needs him and many players will leave before Danault.

I would be willing to move Danault but not for Riley Nash. Yes Danault is worth a 1st round pick, but MTL is not throwing in a 2nd. So I would say Danault for a 1st, a prospect and maybe even a 3rd. This is a Selke Finalist that plays 200 feet and makes his teammates better.

Danault espeically with contract talks starts with a first and Marchenko. Even then, some teams could offer a better prospect.

if you have a question ask me. I coached for 23 years at Junior A, QMJHL and OHL. I worked with Hockey Canada. I still love the game and enjoy teaching it.

I was asking MTLavgfan when it was that mackinnon spoke about PD24 and he came at me like an absolute douche... I'm sure you've had to pull a Torts and bench a few of his kind in your 23 years of Junior A! ^_^

I had a pure sniper and we were playing a terrible team but the next game we were playing the best team. I knew we were going to win so I benched him for the 2nd & 3rd period. He was pissed and so was his father because the GM told me afterwards that the father was livid.

We won that game 6 to 1. The following game after warmups I pulled him aside and asked how he felt being benched. He said he hated it. I said good. I wanted you angry for this game and told him to find a hole in the offensive zone, sit and wait for the puck to come to you. Then I pulled his centre aside and told him to not pass him the puck at all until you enter the offensive zone and then look for him. The centre finished the game with 4 apples and the pissed sniper finished the game with 4 ginos. We beat the best team. He was happy, dad was happy.

The point of the story is people react emotionally. While it’s an emotional game, one must play with the mind. So don’t worry about what anyone says. CTC = control the controllable. Stay focused and worry about what you can control and not others reactions. The rest flush it down the toilet.
