Leafs might take Alex True, likely a higher pick with Engvall going to San Jose though.

But Leafs decline both of the Nashville and Florida deals. Tinordi ha no place in Toronto at all. And Barkov isn't needed when he'd be a 3C for a season and a half. He's better at centre and they need Nylander as a winger more than Barkov. They'll pass.

The Panthers wouldn't even consider that Barkov trade. He's a legit 1C. Look at what the Jets had to give up for Dubois... and Barkov is probably more valuable than Dubois (considering his contract and the fact that he isn't feuding publicly with his coach)

no way florida accepts plus nylander has been very solid so far and could really help in the playoffs but barkov does not have as muck playoff experience in his career i belive. and in the last 4 years.

In what world do you want Tinordi in the lineup. Yea, Rosen and Malgin aren't NHLer but geez. I'd rather have the versatility of Engavll (thought he looked good in his season premier Friday) than True.

Tinordi is an additional piece for the Playoffs. His size and grit may be needed depending on the opponent. I haven't been overly impressed with Dermott this year and latter part of last. Tinordi and Lehtonen can swap out as needed.

Oh on, the old "size and grit" term, meaning slow and incompetent. Dermot is OK and has the past two seasons and starting this one has played with inferior RHD partners. Dermot made a great play for the Leafs 2nd goal on Friday.
