Description

Too much inexperience on the back end.... worst D in the league plagued by injuries, miscommunication and inorganization. Need to replace the 'Tanev' esque player on the back end to allow Hughes and Schmidt the ability to run the puck up with out worry. Hjalmarsson is supposedly on the trading block due to cap concerns in a weak AZ market. Virtanen is the logical choice as he is young and on a short term affordable deal. Canucks need to add Beagle who is irrelevant in the Canucks line up but will help replace the shut down C role Brad Richardson left behind. Canucks have to retain $1mm to make it work.

"Too much inexperience on the back end." What? Elder, Myers, Benn, Schmidt, injured Hamonic and so called star Hughes. Don't think it's inexperience, more just poor play.

Vancouver's roster has too many marginal 3rd/4th liners and AHL-KHL calibre popcorn munchers sitting in the Taxi, and chewing up precious Cap-meter-money $$$.
Opponents know they have only 4 or 5 guys they have to cover, the rest are awful.
That leads to a lot of fishing the puck from their own net and speaking of net - Holtby was not very good last night...
