Deal! I think both teams are getting what they need from it. Don't think the players would be that unhappy either.

Yes I was reading his comments a short while ago. Just have to face him in training a lot which might be even more frustrating in some ways lol.

I think I'd actually do this deal. The defensive "downgrade" is made up for with Kadri having a bit more offensive talent. and it's not like Kadri isn't a good defensive player either. Would suck to see Danault go, but replacing him with someone "similar" at $4.5mil is worth it with the salary cap being what it is. Not to mention Habs would have a better chance at being able to afford extending Tatar

This is bad for Montreal. Not downgrading short term to maintain assets. This is what sellers do at TDL.

People need to swallow the fact that Bergy will keep Tatar and Danault for a cup run EVEN IF WE LOOSE THEM TO FREE AGENCY, like Columbus did with Bro and Panarin.

Seems to be a mix at both ends of the spectrum. Some who plan for longer term and some who are **** or bust.

Altho yes Berg very may well go the Kekäläinen route, but look where that got them... I wld say columbus is much worse off now then before they lost both Bro and Panarin for nothing.
