Why did he go on waivers anyways? Edmonton has had bad depth in the past, I can’t imagine he’s been that bad to warrant going on waivers lol

No, Trotz already has too many players to stifle prospects with. I’m not against having veteran depth guys, but we already have too many.

I’d like them to waive Ross and claim ennis.

I'll take Ennis over MDC, Johnston, Martin or Komarov

it's a really small sample size (5 games) but Pageau's isolated metrics haven't been good. I kind of attribute that to having incompetent line mates which leads to him to trying to do too much. It's important to maximize pageau.

It is. They committed so much to him, both in draft capital and money and then this is how they treat him.

The guy had a 56% xgf% with Leo komarov on his wing during the playoffs lol. Just give him NHL players to work with. You know Ross is bad when Leo komarov is considered a huge upgrade over him. You’d think lou/trotz committed money + term to a quality two way C so he can take some kids under his wing - nah we’re just going to try to turn 26 YO undrafted Ross johnston into a regular.

Literally any combination of wahlstrom/MDC/timahsov/czarnik/koivula would make a competent 3rd line
