If he couldn't crack at least the Oilers bottom six, I doubt you'd want him in your top six

It was an accident for one which I fixed. Second, the only place for him to play was the 4th line. That fourth line has no capacity for producing which is what ennis does. He’s not going to wow you with his play down low or anything, he’s there for offence. Hence, he is the perfect winger for stastny once Dubois is in the lineup. Afterwards the jets can make a couple of rentals on forward and have him play next to Lowry on the 4th line replacing perreault (who doesn’t shoot for some reason)

Perreault has been great this season but everytime he’s in a position to shoot and probably score with his shot, he passes. It’s maddening.

Any chance the Jets have to keep Copp-Lowry-Appleton together should be taken. They have looked fantastic as a 3rd line.

Connor- Scheifele- Wheeler
Stastny-Dubois-Ehlers
Copp-Lowry-Appleton
Harkins-Gustafsson-Perreault

Ennis is not the answer. He's the kind of player heavy teams like Calgary would love playing against.

I'm starting to think it should be lined up like this:

Scheifele-Dubois-Wheeler
Connor-Stastny-Ehlers
Copp-Lowry-Harkins
Perreault-Lewis-Appleton

I totally agree with this. That line has looked amazing. We knew that Copp and Lowry always play great together. I really like Ennis as a player and I think he would add some great depth to our forwards. What are our thoughts about picking up a guy like Greg Pateryn? our D hasn't looked all that great. We need to start adding some pieces to that position in my opinion.

I'm all for adding to the D, but only if the new Dman can help with the PP. The problem with the Jets D is that none of them are PP QBs and only Morrissey is a legit top pairing guy. DeMelo, Pionk and Forbort are ok, but middle to third pairing guys. Beaulieu and Poolman are legit NHLers but likely in the third pairing, first call-up kind of way. Pateryn isn't much of an upgrade to any of them. Unless a PP specialist avails themselves, I think the Jets will stick with this group and spot start Heinola, Samberg, Niku and Stanley to see if any of those earn a full time role.

I would like to see them dabble with a 5 forwards PP. Scheifele, Connor, Wheeler, Dubois and Ehlers. Sit Dubois in the crease and rotate the other four around the perimeter. Too little movement currently. Stastny, Lowry, Copp, Pionk and Morrissey can make up PP2.

I wouldnt claim him if I were the jets, they dont need him and even at 1 mill it messes with cap space going forward. I want to jets to go after Severson

I want them to give Heinola a shot at running the power play. This kid looks really good and I think he would be really good at running a power play. He reminds me a bit of Quinn Hughes in Vancouver. He has the speed and the vision to open things up. My thing would be pick up Pateryn and pair him with one of the young kids. He is more defensive minded and he would like Heinola, Samberg or Niku the freedom to be more offensive. I don't see Stanley being effective in today's NHL. He is too slow. He has the size of Buff and I think that is why we drafted him. But he doesnt have the skill that Buff had or the toughness. That is a guy we need right now.

Stanley has been excellent in his games this season and he keeps getting better. He’s also not a bad skater anymore tbh.
