If we are absorbing the full cap hit of both of those contracts then they are the ones adding a pick, not us. This saves Vegas 3+ mil this year and 8.7 next year. Either have them retain 1-2 mil on Fleury or have them send us a 2nd and drop Holden

I think you're underlooking the facts that (1) Fleury is the best and most valuable player in the trade, (2) Buffalo needs him more than Las Vegas needs either of those players, and (3) they've now created a scheme whereby they don't HAVE to move Fleury any more. It's not always about the cap. (I'm responding only to your thought about the draft pick.)

It’s technically not 3 million this year currently . They have Holden buried right now. He only counts 600k on the cap. So Basically it’s only a million savings this year.

But yes, next year is 8.7 savings for Vegas
