How would you resign Dubois with 0 cap space for the 21-22 season?

Dubois make 5millions in 21-22 and Statsny is on a one year deal 21-22 at 2.5 millions are you still with me?
now 22 come and Dubois need a extension. now since Statsny2,5 is gone and Dubois 5 millions cap hit does not apply anymore that leaves us around 8 millions to work a extension. does it answer your question.

Dont need to throw 3 mill AAV at a back up; Murray IMO hasnt earned 3 mill...the guy cant stay healthy. Copp wants more playing time and a bigger role. I htink he might be the next guy out if he dosent get it.

Did you make the playoff last year ? And you miss it by a couple point. Having a back uo goalie that can actually win game is not trowing money in the trash like you said. Every Dollars on that roster is well spent. Brossoit is absolute trash and getting a goalie like Ranta would allow Maurice to rest Hellebuyck, a key in a long playoff run. The game have such a high pace these day that goalie cannot played 70 game no more. Murray have been injured a lot i gave you that but when he is on ice he is a good defenceman. actually he would already be the third best defenceman on that team. He look healthy with New Jersey but it might change who knows. If he remains healthy all year i can easily see sign a similar deal then that plus 2 years is not a very big risk. At worst he will end on the LTIR

I just hope one of Heinola, Samberg or Stanely can make that jump to avoid having to pay a Murray .
